this a piece that i've been working on for a while. it's about a moment shared between two little brothers. this is the original sketch:

the first thing i got going on was the two dolls:

then the two bunnies came to life. this is the first layout:

more elements are being added, specifically a doll crib and a dog pull-toy. and most importantly the shiny balloons held by "older" brother:

the little ducks have their first coat of paint.i'm attaching these little wheels to turn them into pull-toys.

i finished sculpting these yesterday, and they're ready for paint. some will end up being white and some black.

influences part 1

i was looking through some of my old sketchbooks today, and thought i would highlight few artists that i believe have influenced my work, and certainly made a lasting impression on me while studying at Ryerson. i remember endlessly pouring over these images in the stacks at the rye library. i want to begin with Joseph Sudek, below are a few images of his work.
